Workin' at the Car Wash

So if there is one thing Matt and I take pride in is two sparkling clean cars. Today we got inspired after we took Maglee for a walk in the corn field. The corn field is a couple of miles away from our house so we have to drive. We always take Maglee in the 2000 Toyota 4Runner, because we are extra particular about our 2007 Honda Civic. Since the 4Runner is the "hauling" car it was starting to get a bad stink from the melted snow that was left on our boots. So first things first. We took out all the floor mats in the 4Runner vacuumed them and dusted them with baking soda. Then we did the same thing to the carpet. We left the doors open all afternoon to let it air out, since it was a toasty temperature in the 30s. The baking soda is still on the floor mats and the carpet. I'll vacuum that up tomorrow. This led to washing and detailing the civic. (We even unbolted the seats to get all the crumbs you can't get otherwise.) So this was my big adventure of the day!!!

Here I am sucking up Maglee fur that is left from the few times she has ridden in this vehicle.

Still working on the backseat.

Vacuuming the fur that is attached to us when we sit in the car and all the junk that gets trapped underneath the floor mats.

Overall a very successful afternoon with two clean, better smelling cars. Now all we need are the rubber floor mats to prevent the bad smells from happening again.

So clean house! Make a clean sweep of malice and pretense, envy and hurtful talk.
